Christopher Newton-Cheh

Christopher Newton-Cheh

Christopher Newton-Cheh is a clinical cardiologist and human geneticist at Harvard Medical School. Chris's research interest is to use human genetics to identify novel pathways and genes that contribute to sudden cardiac death and hypertension.

HapMap 3

This is draft release 1 for genome-wide SNP genotyping and targeted sequencing in DNA samples from a variety of human populations (sometimes referred to as the "HapMap 3" samples).

This release contains the following data:

LocusView is a program for generating images of chromosomal regions annotated with genomic features, experimental data and analysis results.

Requirements:

LocusView is a Java application that should run on any platform with Java JRE 1.4 or higher.

Robert Plenge

Robert Plenge

Robert Plenge is a clinical rheumatologist and human geneticist at Harvard Medical School. Robert's research interest is to translate genetic discoveries to care of patients with common autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Joel Hirschhorn

Joel Hirschhorn

Joel Hirschhorn is an associate member at the Broad Institute and coordinator of its Metabolism initiative. He also serves as a member of the Medical and Population Genetics steering committee.

The International HIV Controllers Study

The goal of The International HIV Controllers Study is to help scientists understand why some people are able to control HIV infection without the need to take any medications. These findings could assist in the development of vaccines and new therapies.

Two key projects are currently underway at the Broad Institute:
