Daniel Neafsey

Daniel Neafsey is a research scientist working with the Microbial Sequencing Center (MSC) at the Broad Institute. His work focuses on the comparative analysis of numerous microbial genomes, including pathogenic fungi and Plasmodium spp.

Dan joined the MSC after completing postdoctoral work on comparative malaria genomics in the laboratory of Dan Hartl at Harvard University.

He earned his Ph.D. in biology at Harvard University, applying population genetic approaches to the study of genome evolution in pufferfish.
